Coronavirus Information (COVID-19)
With simple measures, you can help protect yourself and others from infection, recognize symptoms early, and seek appropriate medical help.
Protect
Maintain as much distance as possible when coughing or sneezing—ideally turn away from others. Cough or sneeze into the crook of your arm or into a disposable tissue, which should be discarded immediately.
Avoid handshakes or physical contact when greeting others. Wash your hands regularly and thoroughly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
Recognize
Early symptoms may include cough, runny nose, sore throat, and fever. Some patients may also experience diarrhoea.
In more severe cases, breathing difficulties or pneumonia may develop.
After infection, symptoms can appear up to 14 days later.
Act
Have you been in an area where coronavirus cases have been reported?
If you develop symptoms within 14 days, avoid unnecessary contact with others and stay at home if possible. Contact your GP by phone and discuss the next steps before visiting the practice.
Have you had contact with a confirmed case? Please contact your local public health authority.
